Born from the desire to have things to do and find her community, founder and solo developer Meena Morales created Anongmeron.space, a platform that aims to address the need for a centralized catalog of community-driven events and activities anywhere in Metro Manila.
“I built Anongmeron.space to bridge the gap where most community engagement falls off. On social media, intent gets drowned out by noise. I wanted a place for [intentional] discovery. While you might see an interesting event on Instagram and lose it five minutes later, this app is for people who are actively looking for things to support and do,” said Meena.
Anongmeron.space is a platform designed to help people discover events, communities, workshops, and activities happening around Metro Manila. Think of it as a curated guide to your side quests, featuring hyper-local events based on different activities and interests.
Instead of endlessly searching for things to do in Metro Manila, users can browse a variety of experiences in one place and find activities that match their interests.
Hyper-local Activities
As someone who lives in Fairview, almost at the edge between Quezon City and North Caloocan, I’ve always been looking for community events and interesting activities I can do without leaving the area.
What I like about Anongmeron.space is its filter feature, where you can browse events specifically in your city.
“I initially only built it for Pampanga and NCR, but when I launched, so many people asked for their cities to be included, so we’re adding them little by little!” Meena shared.
Aside from the city filter, Meena has also added a university filter for students and campuses to foster a more supportive community. So there’s no need to go too far for your side quests!
Community-driven Initiatives
Anongmeron.space platform also encourages community-led events, workshops, and activities to be listed within the platform.
“As a software developer, I wanted to create something that makes the Filipino community feel more connected and fun. Gone are the days when our primary entertainment was just going to the mall. Now, I can help small businesses, communities, organizations, and individuals find more supporters and even make friends!” Meena added.
Community organizers, artists, and MSMEs are encouraged to get their events listed for free, they just need to email anongmeron.space@gmail.com as early as 30 days before the event.
